I am about 99% compliant about my nebs, vest and oral meds. I fail with my nasal washes (horribly!). I only suck it up and do them when I have a stubborn sinus infection (like now) and try to do them for a little while before I make an appointment with my ENT (like now, but so far am only managing to do the saline spray-lol). I also forget to do my nasal antihistamine sprays pretty often, until my nose gets clogged up or starts running, or I start sneezing...

The sad thing is, I hate having a sinus headache and not being able to think straight for it. I would think this would be one of my priorities *sigh*.

Oh, and when the pool is closed (I swim at a program at a local college), I don't do my excercises. I even bought a small trampoline last month (I have hip and knee problems because of mild scoliosis), so I wouldn't have that excuse, but I haven't gotten it out yet, and swimming starts back tomorrow...*sigh*

I get my meds and vest/accapella done because I have decided that they are the one thing in my day I have to do. No (or very rare) exceptions.

I also have been working on ways to make it more conveinent- a portable nebulizer for my Xopenex and HS, (not my pulmozyme or Tobi, etc.) and the accapella, for example. Then I can do it on the go, and do my Pulmozyme when I get home or to my destination. I also have an Xopenex HFA inhaler for when I am in a big rush .

I also have found lots of things I can do while doing my meds and vest - besides being on here, I mean . Since I am doing them for 3-4 hours a day, so I do things like clip coupons, make a grocery list and a meal plan for the week, watch a movie with my husband, read a story to my daughter (or babysit her stuffies-lol), read the newspaper, sew things like buttons back on shirts, etc..

It helps me too, that I am a homebody

I would say I am about 85% compliant with everything I am supposed to do. I am horrible at the vest!! If I do it once a week I am lucky (I used to do it twice a day, I lost that routine though when I moved a few times). The things I NEVER miss are my albuterol/atrovent neb and my enzymes. In each 28 day cycle of TOBI I may miss a few treatments do to working late or sleeping late or something like that. Now that I can do my nebs in the car though I have gotten ALOT better with all of them. I exercise regularly (3-4 days a week) and I have been pretty good with that so far. I like having a life and going out with my friends and all so sometimes missing a treatment is ok with me...I figure I added a memory to sustain me when I'm older I am pretty good with my oral antibotics and vitamins...weekends can be rough but I have gotten much better rembering lately so I am glad about that!!

I never miss my enzymes, supplements, vitamins and oral AB's (when i'm on them).
Pulmozyme i am 95% compliant, i have put myself on inhaled Tobra and have been 90% compliant for two weeks. I do a nasal rinse each day about 80% of the time.
I exercise every day, some of it incidental (running up six flights of stairs while carrying my laptop for example), some of it treadmill walk/run. I also do squats, push ups, butt raises etc and free weights sporadically during some evenings while watching TV.

I eat three meals a day everyday, with snacks and occasionally a high calorie shake if i feel i haven't consumed enough that day to feed a small african nation.

On the down side, i'm smoking again most days (weed and cigarettes). BLAST i had given up!!! The hardest damned thing i've ever tried to do is give up my pot habit, and unfortunately after pot i crave a cigarette.

so i'm equal parts good and bad i'm afraid.
