Tired of trying to get it through to some people

Does any one every get tired of trying to get through to people about c.f? it might just be me!!
just the other day someone made a comment about my stomach as i have liver disease, so i have a large liver and means my stomach sticks out and looks like a bit of a pot belly!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">
"ethiopian belly" is the term that was used and everyone though it was funny. So my reply was i am malnourished. They seemed to think they knew best and said i wasnt.

so this is why i get tired of trying to get it through to people that i have c.f.

OH I feel your aggrivation. Some days I handle comments better then others. Some days I respond with an educational approach, some days I get nasty or sarcastic & some days I just ignore them. Whoever said this statement sounds like the type that you cant educate so your best response IMHO is not to say anything or tell them once they educate THEMSELVES a bit more on your health issues then you would be glad to continue the conversation. UGGG!!!! Hugs to you for now.....

I would have said," Its CF you a-holes and if you don't know what it is then look it up" But thats just me LOL

Yah someone asked me once what CF was becuase I had just been told I had it and so I told them. and she said well thats allot like allergys and Asthma right? I said NO! People die from CF then she said to me try taking out you carpat in your room it might help with your CF. Then she's like the little girl I know who also has CF took out her carpet and then she never needed her treatments anymore...

I was like (If she got better like that then she does not have CF at all) CF has no cure..

Then she's like Anika have you ever hard the saying you know more then is ture.
I was like she's does not get this at all.
That's my hard time with talking about cf.

Yesterday I had some friends over for my borthday and one of then saw my Vest system and put it and and started useing it. and side this feels soo good mom can I get one of these. And his mom said to me your treatments look fun! I saide to her they are very time taking and not fun at all I have no clue why you think this is fun?! I do this 3 times a day. People just do not seem want to get how bad CF is. and I hate that part.

But gee taking out carpet could cure CF haha.. well personally when theres no carpet theres more dust and that makes me feel like crap < but that could just be my allergies! But I had a question I have a pot belly and Ive always wondered why.. I wonder if I have the liver disease ... what are the symptoms?? Im such a Hypercondreact!!

I'm just throwing this out here, maybe she really does know CF and was being a jerk to you. Ok my advice to you is (1 just walk away)or(2 turn around and say,"Its CF you A-hole and if don't now what it is, then look it up!!) LOL thats my advice lol
