THANKS for all the replies. Landy I promise I won't sue for malpractice

Nightwriter....I am well aware of all the asthma stuff and do all I can and then some. Sometimes during the winter though it just gets beyond our control. My DH and daughter are sick too.

James.....my doc called me tonight and your advice is the EXACT plan.....bingo...you guessed it. You win I am going to try to take it again in the morning mixed with albuterol and see how it goes. I DO albuterol before and I am on Advair as well. Maybe having the Levaquin in my system for 24 hours will calm things down enough to tolertate it more???? It was kind of reassuring to hear someone say that it is probably not the end of the world whatever decision I make. I think you are right about topping it off with AZLI being hopefully the kicker that won't make what I do this week matter much. I just wonder about doing a week of Tobi then changing to another blah blah blah worry worry worry!!! Someone has to ask these questions cuz the docs don't seem to have time to think it through and then we pay for it on our next culture.

Fantastic, I love winning! I'm glad you're more comfortable with your situation. My natural tendency is to blow the resistance concern out of proportion, so I know exactly how you're feeling.

Hey Skye,

I think I should get a half a smiley face. I was in the neighborhood of adding the albuterol -- I just do it as an extra puff or two rather than in the nebulizer. And I do remember you are totally on top of the asthma thing. I should have left that part of my answer to you out. I think I say it by rote. Still want my half smiley.

*scratches head, trying to come up w/ half smiley...decides to leave it to Skye*

Just a side note, I did do albuterol before TOBI and would still get that darned SOB. I would have to take breaths during sentences because I was so SOB.

Maybe Skye is experiencing this too? I guess we all react differently. I wish CF was more cookie-cutter-ish, so the doctors would know exactly what's going on with each of us!
