good suggestions...thanks guys!

i've asked my doc about an e-flow, and last time i asked she was not too keen on the idea. i'll go going back within the next month and am going to go armed with research, so hopefully she will at least entertain the idea. my other issue is the cost...but we'll see.

thanks for sending out an e-mail skye, let me know if you find anything

Maybe your doctor would be open to using the eflow for a trial period of 4-6 months? You can get the eflow for free, like I did, Sakasuka and others on this forum, if you get your Tobi through Foundation Care Pharmacy. You will also get your Hypertonic Saline and Cf Source Vitamins thrown in for free too if you use them. You don't have to get any other drugs through Foundation Care Pharmacy for this offer just the Tobi or other chronic inhaled antibiotic . http://www.foundcare.com/faq.aspx#eflow_01

eFlow® SCF
How can I obtain an eFlow® SCF?

The eFlow® SCF is a physician driven program. It is provided to the patient with a "no charge lease" if they participate in our Respiratory Medication Management Program and acquire their nebulized medications from Foundation Care (a chronic inhaled antibiotic is required for participation).

Upon receipt of a prescription from a physician for the eFlow® SCF and chronic antibiotic medications, Foundation Care will dispense the device and medication(s). The eFlow® SCF and the medications nebulized through the device need to be monitored for compliance. The eFlow® SCF is a highly efficient nebulizer and many dose dependent medications should be reformulated to be delivered through the device.

Do you have acid reflux? Have you been tested? The reason I ask is that I used to lose my voice from Tobi. Then about 5 years ago, I was tested and diagnosed with acid reflux and started taking prilosec daily. Since starting the prilosec I have not since lost my voice when using Tobi. I truely believe it was the combination of the Tobi that was magnifing the effect of the the Acid Reflux on my vocal cords as I only lost my voice when I started up doing Tobi again. Just a thought, you could have some minor acid relfux and not really know it.

I've been taking Tobi for a few years now. What seems to work for me, is drinking a glass of milk before each Tobi treatment. It seems to provide a protective coating. I also suck on hard candies when it's a Tobi month (not a fan of sugar by the way). Butterscotch, and Werther's candies seem to work the best. I also chew a lot of peppermint gum to get rid of the Tobi aftertaste. Hope this helps.
