Toddler Picky Eating

Yesterday the preschool director said he did better with his eating. I asked if I needed to bring in any cream, carnation instant breakfast... and she indicated she still had some pediasure from the last time he got finicky, and they always give him a spoonful of peanut butter if he's particularly picky. Had to laugh, day before yesterday he announced he didn't eat his cupcake 'cuz he wanted a GREEN one. Toddlers! Can't have the green one, so not gonna eat -- I'll show them.

Last night DS helped his dad cook hotdogs on the grill -- apparently they weren't dirty 'cuz he at a whole one, slice of bread and drank all his carnation instant breakfast, had a slice of swiss cheese and asked for more milk, had some carrot sticks & apple slices... Then a couple hours later, after walk and a stop at a store -- I treated everyone to Cold Stone Creamery and he insisted on having MINT ice cream --- it was green -- sigh. At it all, plus he drank a sports drink he found in my car on the way to the ice cream store -- it was also green.

So I guess, maybe it's no longer a dirty issue, but a "I'll only eat green food issue" -- except dinner wasn't green at all.</end quote></div>

IS he Irish? LOL

Usually when we've gone, he insists on having the watermelon sorbet, which is pink. Not sure what that has in it for dairy. I opted for oatmeal cookie batter with heath bar in it. Offered some to DS and he said no thank you and didn't mention the word dirty. Hmmm!

I'm partial to the banana with peanut butter. Ben can do th sorbet but he always asks for kocKlate (chocolate) and we have to say no. But then he sees the sprinkles on the raspberry sorbet as is fine with it. Have you tried making your own? It is really fun. Yum...I think I might have to take a taste of the remaining mint choc. chip in the freezer before I got to bed.
