Toe Walking... relationship to CF

Sean is toe walker and always has been. DH has started "pointing it out" to him and we've been trying to break the "habit". However, after reading this thread, maybe it's not just a bad habit? Thanks for bringing this up!

Yes, after having a night to think about it I decided to go straight to his pediatrician rather than trying to break the habit on our own first. I'd hate to make him self-conscious over something he may not be able to control. He certainly has issues with speed and running properly. Just thought that was how he was and nothing physiological.
Just waiting to get a call back from his nurse. I will post back as I see some interest and concern on this post.
Looks like we get to see another specialist. Just hope it's nothing more serious than a bad habit or a need for stretching some of his muscles. He deals with enough as it is (as you can all understand)!

The doctor immediately referred us to an orthopedic specialist. Our appt is Jan 7th. Wish us luck! I'm rollercoastering between "no big deal" and "oh my god... what now!". When I started "googleing" it last night, I was just looking for tips on how to break this "habit". I didn't know the Pandora's box I was opening - wish I'd waited to google it until after the holidays.

My friends are forbidding me from googling again. I swear, if I googled "nose-picking", I'd discover one of my loved ones really suffered a horrible illness.

Jena you are a great mom. what a wonderful gift you are giving your son this holiday season. maybe it's nothing at all to worry about. he is a lucky boy to have a mom that is getting to the bottom of his toe walking. take care and don't worry.
