Jade here.....too lazy to log in

Remember chameleon, the bible could be considered flawed as it was passed down through history by people.....mostly men. No story or truth ever stays original after passing through so many people just like a phrase passed around a crowded room changes on it's return trip. If god exists I doubt it's the 100% bible version.....too many chances for that book to be influenced by personal opinions throughout it's time. As far as healing, I've never heard of a cf'r healed. However getting extremely angry gives me the ability to blow 50-70 points higher on my digital PFT monitor.....thats not miraculous though, just adrenaline

I always say this: I rather live my life as though there is a GOD and come to find out that there is NOT, then to live my life as though there is NO GOD and come to find out there is.

All you need is a mustard seed of faith and GOD will show you HIS undeserving LOVE. It is all about FAITH.

Pray for yourself and talk to GOD about how you feel and then you will find the answers you are truly searching for. Open your heart and mind to GOD and you can then find what you are looking for.

GOD is there for you, but you have to open the door and let him in. GOD let's us have FREE WILL and therefore, you have to make the effort to seek HIM and then you will find HIM. GOD is personal for everyone and everyone's experience in how GOD works in their life is unique; seek and you shall find for yourself.

Hope you find what you are looking for and I wish you good health.

I personally don't feel that believing in the bible as a whole truth goes hand in hand with believing in faith healing. I do not feel that faith healing is a biblical teaching-meaning faith healing in the modern sense. There's miraculous healings recorded in the bible as an example for us today, to teach us about faith and reliance on God.
Just as some people don't believe in the trinity, some people don't believe in faith healing-but they believe in God and the bible's teachings. For me personally, just the fact that the bible has survived thousands of years is testament that it is God that made sure it did-no other thing in history has done that. So, yes man has tried to destroy it, change it, ect-but it has remained. To me, that is b/c God made sure of it.
As for the original topic- No, I don't believe in faith healing or that it is a biblical teaching, meaning something that was meant to be used for our day. I believe rather that God gives us the strength to endure trials. He doesn't cause them-they're part of this world and the issue that has been here for 1000s of years-good vs bad.

When my son was diagnosed 21 yrs ago someone gave me a book about a child who was healed from CF. I wish I could remember the book but I cant. It was an amazing story and yes there was never any question of the diagnosis. I do believe that the Bible is a true, holy and inerrant book. I definitely believe in the healing power of God. I hope you find what you are seeking. Susan

I'm not sure if this was due to prayer, but i spoke to someone a couple of months back and we got onto the topic of cf.

This person mentioned that a friend of there's had CF, and it somehow just dissapered . She was on enzymes and all, and when she got to about 12yrs old everything changed.

She didn't cough like she did, didn't go into hospital and then decided to try not taking enzymes.

Its been years, and she has been living a normal life with no clinical signs of CF.

I found that shocking and unbeliveable. I wish i had known this person, but i just met him breifly whilst waiting for my car to get fixed and we had a chat.
