IMO, you need to get some pari neb cups. I've never had an issue with melting -- other than the clear plastic/green neb cup I melted on the stove just to SEE if it was durable -- and we've been boiling since day one = over 7 1/2 years.

I have used vinegar, but mainly prior to washin and boiling to get calcium deposits off the neb cups due to hard water when our old water softener was faulty.

For 15 years we have been washing both our Pari's and disposable neb cups in the dishwasher and they have been fine. The only one we steam now is the one for Cayston in the baby bottle steamer that we got with the meds.

We use our neb cups for Tobi, Pulmoyzine and saline-so they get a lot of use. I have never melted one or ruined one and my daughter has never gotten an infection from one.

I use the Pari LC Plus Nebulizers and also the Alterra and TRIO nebulizers and I put them in the Avent IQ steamer everyday and have no problems and have been doing it for probably almost 6 or more months now.....

We use the Pari LC plus nebs along with the Pari baby masks. They are thick masks. We do not use the cf pharmacy. We use Pharmaceutical Specialties Inc for Pulmozyme. We had a compressor that is not compatible with Pulmozyme. Our insurance would not cover another one. This pharmacy gives FREE compressors and nebs with the Pulmo. If you are interested, the phone # is 1-800-818-6486

Unless they are Pari Nebs you shouldn't boil/steam them (unless otherwise stated) Those clear plastic ones will melt in a second. I use a Tommee Tippee steam sterilizer. It works great and is a little less expensive than the Avent. So most likely it's the neb cups that are the problem. Ask about the Pari cups. They def should not melt. Considering I have forgotten about mine in boiling water for 30 a few times. As far as the tubes go, I usually just let the compressor run for a few extra min to get any moisture out. DO NOT BOIL TUBES. It says not to in instructions. Good luck!!

To clean the type of neb you're talking about it's recommend that you rinse in soapy water. Then every 1-2 weeks soak it in 1 part distiller vinegar to 2 parts water. Then let soak for 30 min take out and air dry. You tube has lots of videos with a bunch of different Nebs and how to clean them properly

Ps. I was also told to never use a microwavable bottle sterilizer, only electric.</end quote></div>

Thank you for pointing this out, mine is a Pari neb, so that is why I can boil them.
