Just wondering if anyone out there uses tumeric for inflammation? If so, does it work? How much do you take and how do you take it?

I am hoping to have a baby and I know I can't take zithro when pg, and prednisone is out b/c I have CFRD. Is there anything else???

I LOVE tumeric. I bought a big container of it that also has cumin in it. I use it to spice soups...put on sandwiches....sprinkle on salads. I just happen to like it. Of course, I have lost a lot of my smell ability over the years d/t sinus issues.....so, my family may hate my cooking with tumeric and I would never know it<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> I can just hear their conversations..."OMG is she putting that indian spice stuff in there again."<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"><img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I am not sure of its affect on lung health.....but, I feel it can't hurt and there is some research out there that indicates it may be very beneficial....so why not.

There was a lot of interest in turmeric for awhile, but if I remember correctly the studies didn't snow anything spectacular. I'll try to look that up later.

Turmeric studies have shown some possibility of it working for inflammation ONLY in people with double-delta-F508. Beware! It will make your farts even more toxic than they already are!
