So I am headed into the "joint" for a tune up on Tuesday and EVERY single time a go in ( I go in once a year), I get fevers and start throwing up right after the first infusion. It is so hard to deal with and I feel like absolute ^%&! My doc says it is the bacteria dying off and then it is released into the bloodstream which can cause those sypmtoms. But I think I might be slightly allergic cause it happens right after the first infusion so how could the bacteria die that fast? Or can it? Any ideas on how to provide comfort for myself? I am going to do benadryl and motrin before each infusion. The benadryl the doc said helps with any allergic reactions you can have from a med. I also have some accupuncture wrist bands that put pressure on a point in your wrist that helps with nausea.
Any other great ideas?
