Yeah~ when I was posting, it was with suggestions for how you could get more of the existing (old formula) Ultrase to hold you over when your samples run out until the new (renamed, fda-approved) ones are available. I'm glad you got confirmation that they ARE coming soon... and I hope you are able to find more to last until that happens without having to use another brand for a while.

Lex,

Thanks for sharing your experience with trying all of the enzymes. That's good to know that they worked about the same for you. I am very nervous about switching - worrying about stomachaches, having to adjust dosages, etc. But if you think they all worked the same then maybe I don't have to worry so much <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Our clinic said that our insurance would no longer cover Ultrase even if the pharmacy was able to get it. I don't know what the cost would be without insurance, but I am certain it would be more than we could afford right now. We'll be switching to Creon if our current supply runs out before Axcan gets Ultrase through the approval process.

I talked to the nurse yesterday. They gave us another two weeks of samples of my son's ultrase. They want to keep him on Ultrase. She said they are certain they will get approval. I just wonder what the hold up is?? I just think it is so terrible especially the thing with the Viokase. What are people suppose to do?? I saw on here that someone wrote a letter to the FDA. Maybe if more and more get sent in, it could help!! I really hope everyone is finding solutions to the enzyme dillemma.
