I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. I'm glad they figured that heart thing out. I know that was scary for you. I have anxiety issues, and it's very frustrating to have those heart palpatations. Again, I'm so glad you are improving. Take care.

hey Sonia, thanks for sharing the proper breathing techniques - I'm going to start trying that right now!

Also, when I first started taking megace it had the same exact effects on me as you described. My appetite has been poor ever since I had my gallbladder removed 6 years ago so I now use Megace regularly. It IS a hormone, so if they do want you to take it long term, make sure you're aware of all the side-effects, etc. esp. pertaining to your CFRD.

I'm so glad things are finally on the up for you!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> Scary about your PICC, but glad they figured it out (eventually *sigh*).

that's crazy about the picc. when i had mine put in, i knew it had gone on too far because my heart would flutter. the x-ray showed it in too far by about 5cm, but the gal that put it in seemed taken aback when i said that i could feel it. it was pulled 5cm and the flutters stopped immediately.

megace does work well. i had hoped that i would not have to be on it long term, but i got a script for upon discharge. don't know if i'll actually use it, but it is nice to have on hand in case apetite does plummet for whatever reason.

hope all else is well, and here's wishing you a continued positive recovery!!
