Unexpected Lock Up

How 'bout ear issues? Rocks in your head (calcium deposits in your eustacian tubes). Know there's a tecnnical term for it. Years ago I had horrible sinus headaches combined with dizziness -- called it "my summer of the hangover" and I didn't drink. Felt waves of nausea, vertigo, pounding headaches -- especially if I moved my head too fast, moved too quickly. Mine went away, but I know of several people who've had to go to a specialist for adjustments/treatments.

Hope you're feeling better. That they figure things out and you can eventually get some rest so you can recover. L

I've also had a lot more "incidents" with the heart monitor I'm wearing, which still causes anxiety. Its going off a lot on its own when I'm just transitioning from sleep to waking, which is also kind of odd. It feels like its beating in my throat. DH has listened when its recording an incident and says it sounds like my heart is just missing a beat every 4-5 beats. odd. So, I'll keep everyone posted. This is causing me more anxiety than the CF at this point (although the lower FEV1 doesn't help... LOL). </end quote>

If it helps any, I have this issue too. In my case, I'm not missing a beat, just getting a premature beat every once in awhile. I, too, wore a heart monitor & was diagnosed with PAC (premature atrial contractions).

My cardio said this is very common with pulmonary patients and not something to worry about, more of a nuisance to put up with.
I asked if I need to rest, quit exercise, or anything when I feel the funny heart beats and he said no and to try to ignore them. So that's what I do. It still is a little disconcerting, though, when I can feel my heart being irregular

Looking forward to updates from you!

Sorry you're in there. I hope you feel better soon. It really sucks to feel like you are doing well and then someone bursts the bubble and says your not. I'm sorry you have to deal with that. But...I do hope that being in there will help you get back to good, or even get to great! Keep us posted...

I'd ask to have my magnesium checked, too.

A few months ago, I would have said- yeah, right...but my dog has a heart condition (hang in there with me now... ) and I read about cardiomyopathy? (irregular heartbeat, whatever it's called) I think it was, a couple of years ago, which is common in my dog's breed, and guess what one of the treatments is? Magnesium supplementation! And then I come here, and start reading about magnesium supplelments, and the meds we take that suck it out of our bodies, and how we need it for healthy bones, and to protect our hearing while on Tobi (I have horrible vertigo with IV fevers while on Tobra iv), etc.

So, now I am taking SloMag (as of last week- no verdict yet ).

Can't hurt (well, maybe a little if they have to stick you ) to have it checked!

I hope you start feeling better soon!
