I noticed this morning after my shower that I had a rash on my stomach.  It seems to have a distinct place on my stomach.  It is now spreading to my back (where is also seems to have a distinct place to reside).  <div><br></div><div>It resembles a heat rash that a baby gets in the summer.  I am in a nice air conditioned house. I used the same body soap that I normally use and a clean towel (washed in my normal laundry soap.  </div><div><br></div><div>The rash had not spread outside of my trunk area-- none on arms, legs or chest... just stomach and back.</div><div><br></div><div>I talked to my CF nurse.  They told me NOT to take my only new drug-- Nexium-- until the rash goes away.  GREAT!!  </div><div><br></div><div>I was initially concerned that it was an allergic reaction to Nexium but but rash is NOT HIVES.  It reminds me of chicken pox and I had the chicken pox in college (a bad case of it).  The rash itches very little.... it is more prickly and stings once in a while.  Did I contract shingles???  </div><div><br></div><div>Any help would be great!!</div>

Unfortunately the symptoms do seem like they could be shingles. I'd talk to your GP about it. As in like, call him today.

<br>I'd agree, it souds very much like shingles.  I believe it can be treated.  Are you able to go to an urgent care-type place? I'm not talking ER, but maybe a walk-in clinic where you don't necessarily have to be a current patient. I hope you get some answers!

Yep, sounds like shingles. I had it five years ago and it is not fun. Unfortunately, once the rash starts it is really too late to have any medicine help it. My doctor still put me on something anyway and told me that calamine lotion helps.

I would make sure to see a doctor because I'd it hasn't started yet, the pain can get quite bad. But do get calamine lotion, it helped me. Feel better!!!
