Vest problems

hey there

I'm always itchy when I use my vest on the higher settings. I don't quite know how to stop that. As far as the other problem you mentioned, you may just need to get the next size up. I was having issues before where my vest was tight around my under arms and just irritating and awkward around my chest. I asked for the next size up just to see if it would do ANYTHING. The difference was huge and I felt like an idiot for not getting a bigger size sooner.

Hope the next size up helps! Good luck!

I was going to say the size thing too. If you call the company or maybe even your clinic they may be able to help you. We have a guy who is the main PT at my clinic and he is very knowledgeable about the fitting and the measurements. Maybe your clinic has someone like him or even the social worker could probably help you.

If you have the Respirtech you can pretty much adjust a lot of different areas, so try that too.

I get the itchiness too, not just while I am doing the vest though. I get it all over my chest and stomach and shoulder area...which I dont remember it getting that way before I used the vest.

Anywho...good luck and great to hear from you! I hope school and life is going well!!

I had the same problem with my chest getting red and itchy. It does get better overtime as you use the vest more the itchiness and redness decreases but you gotta just work through it to get the vest "used" so to speak. Also, wear a shirt that is a bit thick in the beginning to help protect your skin. As far as your arms, loosen the straps cause when the vest blows up it gets really tight so you have to loosen the straps to find the best comfort.
