Sophie used to be on ADEK, both liquid and chewable as she got older. Now she's on AquADEK, the latest update I guess. It's a gelcap.
I second that suggestion re: [rescribed vites, ADEK are made specifically for CF because those vitamins are fat soluble and if you're not absorbing fat, you're not absorbing those vites. So they need to be formulated to be water soluble.
Here's what I found: "ADEK vitamins (ADEKS) -- Oral multinutrient specially formulated for use under medical supervision to provide nutritional supplementation in individuals with malabsorptive conditions. Each dose contains water-miscible forms of fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K plus other nutrients including vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, biotin, folic acid, and zinc..."

Tonya - Yes, these are just an over the counter vitamin. They're chewable gummy bear vitamins but both our CF doc and nutritionist is ok with her taking them and her vitamin levels are really good with these. The nutritionist just tells me how much of each of the fat soluble vitamins she needs and she also takes 100IU of additional vit E daily and takes 5 mg of prescription vit K weekly.

Austin takes Aquadeks. He also takes a multi vitamin. The brand varies. Depends on the cash flow at the time. He likes the gummy ones the best though.
