hola!

just talked to my doctor about the oregano oil being nebbed. (by the way he had not heard of the oregano craze but was glad to be informed about it.) he said one thing that i thought might be good for you guys to know. he said that inhaling oil can be very dangerous and can lead to some kind of phnemonia thing. i am not nebbing the oil anymore, but will continue doing so when i get the h2o p73.

i actually called him because i was concerned about my glands continuing to be swollen. he said once they swelled up initially it could take a while for them to go down. so i should not worry unless i notice them getting worse. i really hope they don't get worse.

Good to hear. I didn't have any symptoms when nebbing the regular oil, but I can understand how long term regular oil nebbing could cause some absorbtion problems. I did feel awesome while on the oil though. But yes, I do recommend EVERYONE use the water soluble oil instead of the regular stuff for nebbing. Taking the regular oil in juice or under the tongue is still fine, but if you neb, neb the water soluble stuff to avoid any potential issues with absorption (even though myself and others I know hadn't reported any issues while they were on it).

Its good to know that some doctors are open to learning about herbals. Our doctor is definately not.

I heard about the pneumonia thing...but how could the bacteria live in the oil? Is it from the oil residue left in our lungs? I dunno, it's not like we're inhaling vegetable oil. I'd like to know more info on that.

I think it's an absolute 100% worst case scenario. I've had pneumonia (once double lung), I know what it feels like before, during, and even after during recovery. I think the docs concern was if it was a total worst case scenario of MASSIVE dosing, many times a day for a real long time. I felt amazing while doing the regular oil, hence why I posted the info here. But as I said before, I do recommend the water soluble stuff now that it's available to avoid any potential paranoia.

Hi to all,

I have a question regarding aromatherapy oils (sorry if spelling is wrong).
I was wondering if anyone knows how safe it is to add (tea tree oil) to an air purifier.

Sean, maybe you can help me with thsi one.

As long as you arent nebbing other oils like tea tree oil and such, and just add it to say a room humidifier or something as a secondary inhalation means, it should be fine. That's what aromatherapy oils are for, to inhale via secondary means.

Thank's Sean.

I have another question for you. What other oils are appropriate/safe to use (in a air purifier), CF wise.

Thanks Again

Anything you want to use that you feel has a nice calming property to it. You can just google up aromatherpy oil info and find tons of information. As for directly treating CF, cinnamon, thyme, and clove are all good for that, though the ones besides cinnamon might not smell the best.
