Weight Lifting and feeding tube question

I have Cystic Fibrosis and I have a feeding tube to help me with calories. I do my feedings at night while I sleep and I get 1500 calories over 10 hours. I recently got into working out and lifting weights I also started reading about the anabolic and catabolic states to help me understand and get the most from the weight lifting. Here's a link for the people who want to see the nutrition of the stuff I'm on to maybe help answer my question. http://www.nestle-nutrition.co...575-9454-9c57d7d69fb5

My question is. Is my being fed at night like this a positive or negative thing as far as trying to stay anabolic and gaining muscle mass?

If there's a better place to ask this question, if someone wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction I'd be very grateful. This has been kind of bugging me for a while now and not sure where to get an answer.

Thanks =)

It seems to me that if you want to put on muscle, you need the calories, no matter when they get to you. The other option would be to plug in the tube right after lifting--which would be good timing in terms of feeding your muscle fibers right when they are ready to "eat", but not very convenient. You could also try lifting at night, before bed. Then the timing of the feeding would be perfect. Some people have a hard time sleeping after working out, though, so you'd have to test this out.
My advice: keep the night feeding, and make sure to eat as soon as you can after lifting. Make sure to get both carbs and protein in this feeding.
Good luck.
