Hi Ramy,

Andrew was considered 'failure to thrive" which means he was quicky loosing weight after birth. He dropped from 6lbs 12 oz at birth to 5 lbs at two week of age. He was also extremely salty tasting and had very foul smelling diapers, very light in color (yellowish), and frequent diarhhea. He has always been low weight and height (10th percentile for both), but no feeding tube yet, and no hospitalization. In fact, people do not know he has CF. He does everything he wants to do. Aside from bacterial infections that have him on antibiotics from time to time, and his daily treatment and therapy routine, he has a very normal life.

*When my water broke with Maeve, it was stained with meconium. Nothing was ever said about it at birth, but later I found out that can be a sign of CF.

*She had the yucky mucousy looking stools, which I had pointed out to the pediatrician, she just told me it was probably from breastfeeding.

*Every time she would eat, it was almost instantly when the food hit her belly that she was having to poop. It always sounded like a complete blowout but wasn't as bad as it sounded.

*Weight loss early on, that was corrected within the first week, but from then on was slow until we got the diagnosis and started her on enzymes. It's still not all that fast <img src="">

Other than that, no other signs, no respiratory signs or anything else.
