If your kids have a lot of toys like mine do, I separate them all into 3 piles: Those that can be soaked (Legos, Cars, etc) Those that can be washed (Stuffed Animals) and Those that need to be hand washed/wiped down (Books, etc). Then, I fill the bathtub with scalding hot water and a mixture of bleach, and dump his toys that can be soaked in there, and get the wash going at the same time, and while those are soaking/washing, I work on the toys that have to be done by hand. Then I go and bleach down his room, and toys bins, and any furniture that can be wiped down. Then I close the door, and open both his windows with a fan going, to get the smell out. It takes about an hour from the very start, to the last toy dried off. It seems time consuming, but it's actually not, since you can kinda work at your own pace, and it depends on the amount of toys you have. It works soo well though <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> Afterward, Matt will spend hours in his room with his clean toys. (I think it's comparable to new toys for him lol)
Good luck finding what works for you!
