Thanks for the info. That is great to know. So far I am doing well on the bleeding front (knock wood, cross fingers). But I am not doing well enough on the lung front to risk another pregnancy as the only abs I respond to are NOT fetus-friendly.
I went in to the hematologist last January and did several hours of testing which showed I respond well to the DDVAP. My VWd is type one/mild (hence the late dx, post knee surgery and two bloody but in the normal range deliveries).
I am glad that your husband and daughters have more promising meds available to them. I am pretty sure that my daughter has VWd--she bruises more than the boys despite having tanner skin to hide it, and she has had two nosebleeds just in the past month. My hematologist said not to bother testing the kids, but I am debating the wisdom of that advice. Each kid has a 50% chance of having it, right?
