I was just curious as to what everyone's insurance makes them pay for thier TOBI? Mine is makining me pay 10% for Hailey's. So that not too bad but for TOBI that is $200. Is that about what everyone else pays?

We used to pay 20% and a $15 copay. We have a $1000 out of pocket maximum each year and when we reach that amount, we just pay $15 per prescription. The first time I bought Tobi 2 1/2 years ago it cost me $536. I can remember being warned ahead of time and the clerk at the pharmacy just about crying and saying over and over, this can't be right, there has to be a mistake. While I just smiled and wrote out the check. We usually reach our out of pocket maximum by summer time, so after the first big chunk, it varied -- a couple hundred the next time....

Now we're signed up with the Tobi Foundation. If you pay more than $25 in copays you may be eligible. They pay our copay now -- whatever insurance doesn't cover. Liza

my insurance pays all $100 and i just got approved for the Tobi Foundation, so i will only have to pay like $10. it is pretty easy to get approved for the Tobi Foundation as long as you are not filthy rich<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

We were kinda apprehensive about applying with the tobi foundation. We felt because we had insurance coverage, that there were maybe people who needed assistance more and after reading the application forms and having to provide financial information, that we probably wouldn't be eligible. We don't make a lot of money, but we do okay. But the cost of tobi keeps increasing and our social worker at the cf clinic gave us the forms and sent them in for us. Liza

I only pay $10 for every prescription I get. After reading how much all of you pay, I'm stoked! I couldn't imagine paying over $500 for one prescription!
