What is your daily routine?

OMG mold?! <faints> That's just really, really scary.

I have cf myself, my kids don't, but I thought I'd share my routine, too. I don't have exact times because my 3 year old and 5 year old have this awesome talent of throwing everything off schedule in the blink of an eye, but I do have an order.

I get up, get my daughter in the shower, then get her breakfast. While she's eating, I take all my oral meds. Then I get her bundled up and put her on the bus. My youngest is usually waking up about the time the bus is pulling away. I get her breakfast and something to drink, and start my nebs. In the morning I do 2 puffs of Combivent, HTS, Pulmo, Advair, and then Tobi when I'm on it. I then try to do a vest treatment, but when things are crazy, I will just use the Acapella. All day is about taking care of my girls, eating enough (actually hard for me as I tend to forget to eat, don't ask me how) and trying to stay active. In the evening I try really hard to work out, but I admit, it doesn't happen nearly enough. 7:30 I get the girls to bed, and between 8 and 8:30 I start my treatments again. Combivent, HTS, Advair, and then the Tobi if need be. I always do my vest during the HTS because this causes me to cough up sooo much. I always eat some sort of snack after doing my night time treatment. As far as the neb cleaning goes, I wash them with soap and hot water after all 3 nebs are done, then I dry them, I used to set them out to be sure they got totally dry, but then I bought the Germ Guardian. Now after every treatment, I wash, dry, and stick them in the Germ Guardian. I boil 'em every other day.

I used to work full time. When Garran was first born he was in the hospital so much that it was causing problems at my work with attendance so I chose to leave, and I wound up teaching HS where my kids went to school (private school) then shortly after, I decided to homeschool because the Daycare Garran was going to was not giving him the nebs and meds he needed and he was still getting admitted all the time.

So I stopped working for about a year, then worked for about 6 months, and then for a year when we moved here to VA. After my last job though Garran was continuing to get admitted more and more so I decided to stay home and be a stay at home mom for a while. Plus I wanted to finish my college degree, so that gave me a chance to finish that online and still take care of his needs.

He is currently in the hospital and getting over respiratory failure and Kidney failure that happened over Christmas, And gets homebound education right now. And we are going to UNC transplant center next week for an eval. So when he is home this is our routine:

<UL>6:00 am Wake up and get showered and dressed
7:00 am take oldest son to school
7:30 am do morning tube feed (1 can in g-tube) W/ Enzymes
8:00 am take other two kids to school
8:30 am Do morning nebs and vest(20 min) (xopenex before vest, pulmozyme with vest, advair puffs after vest) and oral pills and puffers
9:00 am play time
9:30 am snack time
10:00 am do school work
12:00 pm lunch and tube feed 1 can and Enzymes vest (20 min) and nebs (xopenex before vest, HTS with vest)Advair puffs after vest
2:00 pm take afternoond oral meds
4:00 pm snacks w/ enzymes, vest and nebs (Pulmozyme again with vest, xopenex before vest, Advair after vest)
6:00 pm dinner and tube feed w/ enzymes (1 can)
8:00 pm nebs and vest (HTS w/ vest, xopenex before vest, Advair after vest)
9:00 pm hook up night feed (3 cans, 90 ml/hr) hook up BiPap, do nightly oral meds
9:00 pm -12:00 am Do my homework when needed
2:00 am enzymes
5:00 am unhook tube feed give enzymes</UL>

This changes when he needs IV antibiotics, these are usually added at night and in the morning.

oops for got to say I pick my other kids up at 2:00 pm and 2:45 pm. And I usually sterilyze the nebs at night before going to bed. The Eflow I boil once a week and bathe it in alcohol every night and I also have to clean it after each use. Plus the other neb canister for his other meds I clean and put in the dishwasher. (self heating and drying) And my other kids do activities at the Y on Fridays and Saturdays but my sister takes them there. I usually do housework when G-man is doing meds or nebs or when he is playing etc... Or just when I see stuff I usually try to pick it up as I go, but not when the other kids are home cause they are tornados.....

I was just thinking about this. I'm a Stay at home mom. Dh works full time and I have a 12 year old son
When Jaden gets up usually 8:30am she gets her Prevacid then does her vest/20 min. while she does her vest she does her albuterol.
The breakfast.
she is on a agumentin right now so she takes that after breakfast.
At supper she gets her other does of antibotic
About 7pm we start the bedtime routine
Bath, Zantac, vest/albuterol
She gets her vitamen right before bed.

She isn't taking much but after 2 1/2 years I think I finally have the hang of it all. I prepare her meds for the next day while she finishes her vest, which usually at bedtime she falls asleep doing.
