So happy for you! I think you are going to be so pleased.
You can purchase this book or borrow from your local library for important background info and recipes. Remember, sugar is inflammatory and feeds PA, so try to keep fruits to a minimum. That being said, you may need to start off with lots of fruits to get her used to the smoothies and then gradually reduce the fruits over weeks or months (this is what I had to do. I grew up eating TONS of sugar, a la the CF docs rec of "let her eat anything she wants! stupid).
As always, I am so greatful to Dramamama (Mandy) for guiding me towards healthy eating for healthier lungs!

The author has a few green smoothies on her blog here, but I like the ones in the books better:

Also, this is an amazing movie you can rent from iTunes (only 5 bucks I think). It is a movie about health - not weight loss. The guy juices instead of blending (blending is better due to the fiber and less oxidation). Here is the link to the movie and here is a link to his green monster smoothie.

I do this mean green smoothie all the time (but I have rotate greens....the book describes why it is ESSENTIAL to not use the same greens over and over), but it took me a while to work up to it:

Congrats on being an amazing mom to your daughter. You are truely doing something that can only help her. When I do Tobi I also do it non stop. The reason for this is that my FEV1 is 35% (has always been though, for years and years) and my doctor says that it's more important that I do all I can to maintain this than to not take Tobi and see it decrease.

However, he put me on Colomycin a few months ago, which I also take every month, but it gives Tobi a break after 10 years.

I took Tobi continuously for a longer time, but then started with bronchospasm. And also greater sensitivity with auditory issues.
Doctor changed me to Tobi alternated with Colistin, works fine.
(I started developing bronchospasm after abt. 14 years on Colistin non-stop, but after a break of abt. 3 years I'm tolerating Colistin very well)

By the way, "nebulizing" (or just inhaling over boiling water) lavender essential oil 15 minutes before the antibiotic, makes the antibiotic's effect much stronger! And makes your lungs feel so good too!

Not to rain on parade here, but fruits and vegetables only help to control blood sugar levels when eaten whole. It's the fibrous nature of the fruits and vegetables that help hold on to the sugars in your stomach. After being pureed the sugar is absorbed almost as immediately as drinking a soda.
