I start Clomid the beginning of April to 'help' with my eggs. I am ovulating, but it is usually late. My egg quality isn't too good either which is why I will be starting Clomid soon.

I had bloodwork drawn last month which confirmed that I ovulated. My progesterone was 8 on CD23. Is that good?

I also had bloodwork drawn this cycle on CD3. My estrogen, testoserone, and FSH/LH were all good. I'm somewhat confused since I'm suppose to have PCOS...

Well, I am ovulating late this cycle and wonder if I should at least tell my doctor or not. I don't see her until March 16th which is 2 weeks before we try the low dose of Clomid therapy.

Until then, I am to pay close attention to what is or isn't going on with me. I'm also suppose to go in for a pregnancy test around day 23-25 IF I see any spotting or drastic change in temps. She is trying to R/O (rule out) extremely late ovulations or chemical pregnancies. I do spot with cramps around that time frame for 1-2 days sometimes. Due to my poor egg quality and late ovulations I 'could' be having chemical pregancies, but only a blood test will be able to determine that.

I'm just wondering IF I should at least notify her or just continue to watch this cycle closely until Day 23-25. She's not really starting anything until April so I'm not sure if I should bother telling her.

Also, is a progesterone of 8 good? I'm a little worried if this cycle's progesterone will also be around an 8 due to ovulating late...

Thank you.

For anyone interested...

I'm using Vitex, Mucinex (1,200 mg twice a day, the max), ovulation tests, and PreSeed when it counts for this cycle and the next.

Bonnie,

LOL! Yes, I am. It's just so hard to 'give up'. Yes, I have made a full recovery. My PFT's went from 64% - 49% - 65%. My weight is back up to 114 which is perfectly fine. I have been stable since mid-January.

I did have to start insulin 2 weeks ago, but it's only because I'm going to give it another real shot. My sugars post meals were 180ish at lunch and dinner. They said that they were too high for TTC. So I started Humalog with meals for now. I was told years ago that I would surely be a gestational diabetic so I guess it doesn't really matter whether I start now or later...

Well, I called my OB/GYN doctor, and yes, I progesterone is low. Five and under, means that you didn't ovulate. Under 10, means that you ovulated, but it's a weak ovulation. I am at an increased risk for miscarriage based on my progesterone levels! That is why they want me to get a blood test IF I start spotting after OV. When I start Clomid in April, that should be enough of a boost to put me at normal. If not, I will be taking progesterone supplements.

Jake and I still aren't commiting to IUI, but I'm kind of 'relieved' IF I am having chemcial pregnancies BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT I AM GETTING PREGNANT. At least SOMETHING is happening!!!

I had some stretching and pulling cramps last night so either I ovulated late last night or will early today. I 'think' I caught it in time. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif" border="0">
