WE LIVE I WV, BUT ALSO HAVE BC/BS AND THEY PAID 100%. WE ALSO OWN IT AND THEY WILL REPLACE OR FIX ANYTHING THAT BREAKS/WEARS OUT/ETC. WITH NO COST TO US. OUR SON GOT HIS VEST WHEN HE WAS 15 MONTHS OLD. IT HAS TO DO WITH THEIR CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE, FROM WHAT THEY TOLD ME AND I BELIEVE IT WAS SOMEWHERE AROUND 16-18". ONCE THEY ORDERED OURS IT CAME VERY QUICKLY AND IT IS USER FRIENDLY AND OUR SON DOES SO MUCH BETTER WITH IT--HE HAD LOST HIS PATIENCE WITH CPT WHEN HE LEARNED TO WALK! ANGELA

Hi,

My DD received her vest at 9 months. We are in the Dallas area, but do go to a private pulm. We have the Respirtech Incourage and she tolerates it really well. My husband's insurance paid for most of it. I learned that kiddos could get them as young as 6 months but had to have a chest span of 16in. Our doctors wanted to wait until she was a little bit bigger. They probably would have waited a bit longer but I was pushy because she wasn't tolerating her cpt well.

Well...unfortunately we didn't make it to the clinic appointment this morning due to icy roads here in the Dallas area. I really wanted to go because I have so many questions but decided it best not to try and brave the icy conditions.
Most Texans just don't know how to drive when there is ice on the road! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

So....have to wait and reschedule her appointment.
Thanks for everyone's input.

I noticed in the forum there are other parents, CF patients, etc. on the site from Minnesota, which is where we live and have Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance of Minnesota.</end quote></div>

I live in MN and have the same insurance. The respitory therapist said we would have no trouble obtaining the vest. I was told by the respitory therapist that there should be no out of pocket expense for us. I have a hard time believing that... so I asked that they wait and order Emma'svest after the the 1st of the year (just in case).
