When to
Hey All,
Just got back from a 4 day stint in the hospital. Doing better now thankfully <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
Talked to my doc last Monday. Asked him if me thinking about LTD was crazy or what. He looked at me and said "there are driven people...and the there's Stephanie" In other words in the 27 years we've been doc/patient, I've always lived a life far more active than my clinical stats would indicate. I had my pfts taken that day and I was a bit lower than I "remembered". My FEV1 is .8L and I'm 5'8". SS criteria for my height is <=1.85L. Looks like I could have "retired" long ago.
I feel my disease is progressing more recently. So to avoid going further down the slippery slope I have decided (95% sure) to retire. I'm planning to talk to Beth Sufian soon about questions, process, etc.
Thanks to all for the words of wisdom etc. Can't wait to start another chapter of my life!
