Thanks for all the responses. He does see an ENT for the tubes in his ears. He is scheduled for the end of Dec for a follow-up but I am thinking about talking to the CF doc about the sinus issues. and seeing if the ENT can check him out also. i know last month I looked in his nose and I saw something protruding out a little ways. But after the antibiotics it went down.

I'm thinking he may have polyps too. Getting those removed (if he has any) will that eleviate some of the sinus infections?

Also I do remember that when we go to the doc for sinus problems they always say one side is completely blocked. He's been saying "Look Mom I can't breathe out of this side (whichever side it is at the time).

So Monday I'm going to call and get information. Again Thanks everyone.

Paula,

I always call the CF doctor. When my 6 yr old had the nose polyps the CF doctor seen them in his nose and referred him to the ENT doctor who performed his surgeries. He also had the snotty noses, and also had more lung issues with the sinus issues. I could see the polyups in his nose after the CF doctor showed me. Maybe doing the nasal washes would help with the snotty nose. My son liked getting alot of the gunk out of there. It is best to do in the shower. Good luck

We have a wonderful pediatrician. If Aiden starts getting a cough/cold we go ahead and call the pediatrician. We initially go to see him, but then he always calls Aiden's CF doc's to let them know and discuss treatment.

If the issue is worse then just a cough/cold or his pediatrican doesn't feel comfortable treating him we call and go see Aiden's CF doc's.

It has always worked extremely well for us. Both the CF doc's and his pediatrician keep in close contact regarding Aiden's status.
