we all know everyone is different; scientists (and some of us) are just looking for very general patterns in order to make predictions, prognosises, etc...

ya it's more comfortable and easier to deal with when you have the predictability of a disease. everyone wants to know what the future will hold for a son, daughter or even themsleves.

but the reality is, there aren't patterns. Brad's post above is a perfect example. 4 CFers, all with the same mutations, but different clinical outcomes....

sorry to say, there's no fortune telling in this disase.
