Does anyone have a whirlpool tub with a child with cf?
And do you think its a good Idea?
The reason I ask is because i put one in before we found out are dd had cf.

I have always been told to stay out of whirlpools..
This is because it's very warm water and it's loaded with bacteria.
I don't know if that's the case with one at home too?

If I were you I'd ask your daughters doctor, just to be sure.

We have a whirlpool put in before our daughter was Dx'd as well. I asked our CF Dr and he said there is no issue with home outdoor whirlpools, it is only with the indoor ones

I thought it had to do with the water sort of 'nebulizing' itself in the space just above the water right where your face happens to be. Therefore, you'd potentially be inhaling psuedomonas. Has anyone else heard that? I've never tried to confirm it since we don't have one and just avoid them elsewhere.
