I have always been told to stay out of whirlpools..
This is because it's very warm water and it's loaded with bacteria.
I don't know if that's the case with one at home too?

I thought it had to do with the water sort of 'nebulizing' itself in the space just above the water right where your face happens to be. Therefore, you'd potentially be inhaling psuedomonas. Has anyone else heard that? I've never tried to confirm it since we don't have one and just avoid them elsewhere.
