The huge price tag on that vest is due in part because it comes with a lifetime warranty. I'd call them- they will replace it for you immediately!

When you call the vest company, they usually have you "reset" it first, the red button in the back if its a HillRom... although once you tell them which device error it is, they may already know that is done for.

I had something similar happen to me, I dont remember the specific device error, but instead of clinic, you need to call the company since it does have the lifetime warranty. They will overnight a new vest for you and like others said, you pack up the broken one.

They had me try to reset it first btw, and it didnt work so thats why I got a new one.

And now that the 105's out, I imagine you should get an upgrade

call the vest company, if its hillrom, I would imagine you just got a free upgrade to a 105, while you're at it, have them send you new hoses if they've started to wear. You're insurance paid a pretty penny for that thing for just this reason, oh and it's medical equipment so they get by with it, but thats a story for another thread.

That is impressive! They don't mess around with that stuff, glad to hear it. I'd almost be afraid to know what that shipping cost, on top of weighing 50 pounds, getting it shipped in 16 hours?! Did they ship you the same model or did you get an upgrade?

I got an upgrade, new tubing, new chest vest, new foot pedal-everything. I saw the shipping-it was sent on an overnight flight to my local airport!-Amazing, someone in the medical field that actually snaps their fingers and gets something done immediately.

I actually have been waiting for mine to break b/c I want the 105... i have the 104 which at least is not that huge old style 102 that i have heard stories about... but it would be nice to not have to reach down and change my settings every single time haha.
