have you looked into if there's a fungus specialist in the US? Maybe there's experimental treatment that you could get done. Like injecting some drug into the fungus ball sort of like a flea bomb. Here's to hoping you cough it out. Do you ever try vision therapy? Maybe try that. Picture healthy pink lungs with that fungus ball shrinking up and coming up your airways and out into your mouth - Blah! but wouldn't that be a day to rejoice. Ive heard of a man who coughed out a nail 50 years after it got lodged in his lungs. Anything possible! Don't give up hope.</end quote></div>
Hi Lou Lou, I know that they can inject and antifungal right into the fungus ball Or surgically remove it, but my Dr. said i am a candidate for neither, because of the fact that i have hemopptysis problems and also they are afraid of cepacia entering the blood stream by either procedure. i guess it is something i am going to have to live with.
YIKES coughing up a nail doesnt sound like fun, but it does give me hope, that maybe the fungus ball will break apart and come out piece by piece , cough by cough.
