Working full time with CF

I sympathize with your situation. Having CF is seriously a full-time job in itself most days.

I don't have any tips or ideas for you, but I hope your work situation gets better.

The comment about slapping my colleauge made me laugh out loud <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I don't know if there is such a thing as ADA, I am not too familir on how things work here in Spain, as I've only lived here for 2 and a half years. But I am definitly going to talk to my doctor about it. I have to do something!

Again many thanks you guys, and if you have any further comments or advice, they will be very welcomed.

I am sorry about your situation. I am, for the first time, taking my CF txs seriously and it IS work. Yes. As some have suggested, you need to come out of the CF closet. The more comfortable you are with yourself the better. You do have CF regardless of how much you want to deny it and have others treat you as normal. You CAN have CF and not be defined by it.
Initially your boss did the right thing by accomidating your needs. However, that is cancelled out by the fact that they took it back. What they SHOULD have done was turned others away, while keeping your confidentionality in check.
Your coworker is an immature ass for not having the least sense of empathy. If possible, don't associate with people like that, you'll only get yourself worked up. Just know you are the better person and that he is totally immoral.
To sum up, come out. You don't have to shout it from the highest mountain but if people ask, be truthful. I think you'd be taken aback how understanding most people are. You just had a bad experience with an inconciderate piece of *****.

Hi, I am probably the only one who feels it is not a good idea to share your CF with your employers and co-workers. I have been working since the age of 15 (full time). I am now almost 40. I have a very high powered position and being a woman in my industry is hard enough. I cannot imagine what would happen if they knew I had CF. The few people that I work with (my friends) that know feel sorry for me and treat me differently because of my disease. I hate that look of pity on their faces. One of the women in my company just told everypone she is being treated for breast cancer. That was received differently because she had treatment and is now fine. My CF would definately be used against me by the men under me who are trying to knock me down. I have never in my career exposed myself to others comments and stares (its bad enough I have to do it in my personal life) although I am constantly lying about my cough. good luck.
