Thank you so much for the feedback - it's really helpful! I have terrible reflux and bloating. I never thought dairy would be a contributing factor. I think I'm going to take dairy out first and reduce the sugar. Then try the wheat. I love pasta and bread! But, I think I will love feeling better...

Thanks for the info. I am a "chubby CFer" and would love to shed a few pounds. It looks like its really hard to stick with, but the science of it makes so much sense. Do you have any websites or books that you recommend for the diet?

LTA, I'm so sorry you have to go through something so stressful! I think there is a legal grant at the CF Foundation to help with this kind of stuff re: laws protecting your rights and applying for disability. I talked to a lawyer myself through the CF Foundaiton about seeing if I would qualify...

My wholistic doctor recently recommended a dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar free diet as a way of improving my overall health and reducing GI issues. Has anybody tried it? If so, what are your thoughts about it? It sounds good on paper, but looks like it maybe hard to stick with it.

Thanks for the insight! I had no idea pineapple interferes with medication. I've been trying to eat a lot of pineapple for the bromelain. I think I'll cut back.
