There was a shortage some months back, I get mine from Cystic Fibrosis Services Pharmacy. Wallgreens is usually where I get it, but they were unable to get mucomyst for now. Good stuff use it 2-3 times a day. Have been using it 52 yrs.

Being well hydrated is very important when using hts. Got to get mucous thinned before I can cough it up!!

I use Pulmo-Aide comp., have 2 of them one in my office and one in the tv room. My neb. rx take 1 3/4 to 2 hr. this comp. holds up longer than most. One of the ones that I am using is 12 yrs. old. My ins. comp. bought me one last yr. it is still in box; waiting for one of the ones I use to die...

For me it not about how fast esp. when I am using Hts.,it is how much mucous I can cough up and out. When using aprox. 7cc or more of 3% and or 7% Hts.; really can not tell any difference between the two. Hts. takes 45min-1hr. Got to keep them cleaned out or no room for O2 exchange. Total...

I have been using tap water for yrs. ; if I have had a problem I did not realize it. Have never used distilled water. I do put my tap water in the micro wave for 9 min, until it comes to a boil. Some folks are over the top on certain subjects.
