Yoga?

Yoga is greeaaaaaat for breathing and relaxation. It may just be my experience but I am willing to bet it helps lung function and breathing in people with CF. I would probably avoid hot yoga(heated room) though, because of the heat and moisture in there. I used to do hot yoga, then it dawned on...

    Breathing Treatments

    Hi All,
This has probably been discussed quite a bit already but I would like to know other people's experiences with their breathing treatments. What types do you do, how do you do them, what order, are any mixable, etc? How do people feel when they skip a day of treatment? What breathing...

    Does anyone recognize these symptoms

This used to happen to me when I was in high school. Always in the morning. Additionally I would get clammy as well. Laid down, felt better around 15 minutes later. The symptoms you describe sound like what happens right before you faint, however as you said, you do not faint. Not sure if...

    MAC and Pseudomonas

Long story, read to end for actual point .

One month ago I switched CF clinics. At my first visit to the new clinic I cultured Pseudomonas (PA). At that time I thought I had only cultured it once in 2006, and had never been...

    Should I get a wheelchair?

Personally though, I would opt for wheelchair for myself in the same situation. No reason to feel weird about it!

    Should I get a wheelchair?

Seattle is extremely hilly so it might be more difficult than usual to walk around depending on what you are used to (I am used to FLAT ground). Do what feels comfortable and will make your trip enjoyable.

    CF and CFRD

Whoops I totally forgot some important information. For me gaining weight has ALWAYS been easier in Ultrase (but I believe it still doesnt have FDA approval). I switched to Creon when they pulled Ultrase and I REALLY disliked Creon. Now I am on Zenpep and it works better than Creon but not as...

    Hi,

I have CF and CFRD as well I weigh 115. I take Creon also but 4 with meals 3 with snacks. As everyone else stated, 1 per meal is a very low dose. Everything below is from my experience and opinion:

With diabetes in general, if your blood sugars run high and are uncontrolled you...

I want to know what percent of CFers work

I work 27 hours per week. I do not work full time because my work is associated with my graduate school (e.g. I have a teaching assistantship for school) and I go to school full time. My FEV1 is 80s-90s right now.
