can HTS be used in the eFlow?

You can, and we have. The only issue we had it is tended to clog up the screen a bit so you have to make sure to rinse it really well afterwards.

And yes, we just used the normal HTS vial.

    symbicort

Per the manufacturer you should not use albuterol & Symbicort at the same time w/o significant medical justification. This is a question for the prescribing doctor to decide if it is safe. The documented interactions are: Increased blood pressure & heart rate Decrease potassium levels.

    I disagree

Just as a point of reference, healthy pseudomonas aeruginosa placed on a dry surface dies rapidly.

<10% of the initial bacteria is still alive 2hrs later, and by 6 hrs < 1% are still alive. thus merely letting your nebs sit & air dry from the morning to evening treatment kills >99% of...

    I disagree

Devil's advocate here (not saying I don't sterilize, just asking everyone to pause & think): What are you trying to kill by sterilizing? If you start with a clean/sterile neb, and use it to administer for one child, then at most it becomes contaminated with whatever is already in their lungs...

    what r the chances

Jo, my son w/CF is adopted (at 6) so his siblings are not impacted. However, while I would probably recommend testing the others at some point.....it would make sense to wait for your son's results first. The reason being, then you only have to test for 2 mutations (DF508 & possibly a 2nd)...

    G-Tube Button options

My son has the AMT and we love it. It is 2cm, so I agree I can't image how an adult has a 1.2 ~!@#$ We've not had any issues with leakage. The ONLY drawback is most hospitals (at least here) don't keep AMT's in stock, so we have to take our own extension when we are inpatient or they have to...

Project Send Tom to Medical School

T-14 hours to MCAT Well it is done! Took me right at 4:15 to take. Thought the verbal reasoning (reading comprehesion on steroids) and writing samples were easy. The Physics/GenChem tough and the biology section was brutal! Now I wait, the scores are not released for 30 days so I won't know...
