Spray Parks???? Not Waterpark

Our dr recommended keeping a strong-flavored drink nearby for Emily to sip on while she did hypersal- whatever she liked that had a strong flavor that would help clear the taste from her mouth and soothe her throat. As it turns out, Emily LOVES the hypersal and licks the mask, tries to drink it...

    Spray Parks???? Not Waterpark

Are they filtering/rechlorinating it before re-using it? (I'm assuming the water is collected as it goes down through drains in the play surface.) If not, kids would be getting VERY sick and they'd fail any testing being done on the water, I'd think. We don't have one so I haven't had to make...

If you check the other picc line thread where you asked me about the eclipse balls- I posted a picture of them from a site that explained how they worked. They are very handy since they don't require a pump or IV pole- when my...

    First Time PICC line

They are prefilled and you keep them in the fridge; ours were about the size of lemons. You screw the end of the tubing into the end of the picc line, unclamp, and depending on med / dose it varies on time to run. Ours took about 45min as long as we took them out of the fridge a couple hours...

    First Time PICC line

When Emily did IV's this past spring the picc was good for everything except drawing tobra levels. Like Andrew, she chose to have them do a tiny little draw rather than keeping a peripheral just for that- the line that was placed when she was admitted infiltrated really fast (she had a few doses...

    "healthy" snacks

Oh, and Emily loves the fruit dip made of cream cheese and fluff- maybe some of that in a gladware with some grapes or other easy to eat fruit to dip in it?

There are two versions of that dip, both high cal. One just calls for an 8oz brick of cream cheese, a 7oz jar of fluff and a dash of...
