Where you have your images hosted, go there and right click on the image. Select "copy image URL" then paste that URL in the add photo dialogue box here on the forum. You can also specify a size so it's not too big. I think I made mine 300x300.

    Hypoglycemia and cf....

If it was her blood sugar and it was low enough that she was unresponsive, she would not have come out of it without glucose. You probably should have called EMS and had them check her blood sugar then just to see what it was. You can always refuse transport if it turns out that she is ok.

    hypoglycemia in CF

My dietitian said to me once that if you're going low you're also probably having spikes. As she explained it, people with CF are usually very sensitive to insulin (although because of atrophy and fatty replacement of the pancreas, we may not produce as much of it). So, you have a spike and...

    Acid food and cold water

You do realize that stomach acid is between 1.5 and 3.5 pH right? Whereas a common acid added to foods is citric acid and is around 6 pH. The human body has a very narrow normal range of pH (7.35-7.45) and is very good at maintaining homeostasis. I have never read any serious medical literature...

    Symptomatic CF Carriers

A dominant gene does not always repress every phenotypic expression of the recessive, so as a carrier some CF symptoms are possible. The most common are usually digestive issues and sinus/allergy issues. As others have stated, sometimes it's a matter of an unknown second mutation that isn't caught.

Anyone on Kalydeco seen changes in LFT's?

<begin quote>Originally posted by: dasjsmum Well, as I said, my son is one of the few people in the world who actually has been on Kaly for nearly three years. Anyone on Kalydeco seen changes in LFT's?

In a relatively short term study, yes it would seem to infer that. Unfortunately, people will be on Kalydeco for the rest of their lives (given that something better doesn't come along) and we have no data on long term side effects.
