Everytime I stand for a long time I get chronic aches in the bad lung..

This doesn't happen to me. But I do have a worse lung, like you.
Is this a new thing for you? If so, maybe you need more mucus clearance and antibiotics. When I was sicker my lower left lobe seemed to ache all the time, even when the mucus was clear.

Right now, I don't...

    Elevated IGE Levels

Ditto what Sherry said. They might check your blood for allergies, not the same as the prick test, but useful too, and look at aspergillus in particular--in case it is not coming up in your sputum but is somewhere deep in there.

    Asymmetrical chest upon inhalation

Was wondering if anyone else's ribs stick out more on one side. My left side sticks out an inch+ farther, making for a sharper cut in to my waist. Not a big deal...maybe because the heart is more on the left, but I was wondering it is because of the problems I have in lower left lobe ("air...

    desperately need advice

Rayoflight, I remember a time when a person could not ask me "How are you?" without me starting to cry. This too shall pass. It sounds to me (I am so not an expert) that telling your best friend is tantamount to admitting and acknowledging the CF to yourself. You CAN do that and still be you...

    desperately need advice

You have already received some great advice, I only wanted to add that your best friend may have a better idea of what is going on in your life that you think. People sometimes pick up on clues but do not feel comfortable probing. Since you are so private and she is your bff, you probably...

    Tummy Issues on Antibiotics

:-( It may not help much, but try to eat the BRAT foods if you aren't already doing so. Bananas, rice, apple sauce and tea/toast...I am never sure about that last one.

Seeing Speech for Vocal Cord Dysfunction

Do you take a long-acting bronchodilator/steriod like symbicort or advair? I used to take a lot of albuterol and get the rapid heartrate business, but since starting symbicort, I don't use it more than a couple times a month. I also will take advil instead of albuterol if I am feeling heavy...
