    Do you take Mucinex??

Cabgodfrey, What you describe about Mucinex sounds like what I have always heard about antihistamines--like Benadryl. Are you sure you aren't thinking of that type of med? My pulmonologist said to not take any antihistamines, as for Mucinex/guafenisen, he simply said he thinks it is as...

    Diagnosis in sight?

Jen, I am so glad your son is doing well and growing well. It is great too that you are running, it offers a huge benefit to your lungs and immune system though I understand that sometimes it is just not possible. It was this website and Jerry Cahill who inspired me to make exercise a top...

    Diagnosis in sight?

Jen, Hi, I am sorry you have been sick. I remember your son was struggling with C. dif. I hope that has cleared up. If you get the bronchiectasis dx and are cleared for not having another CF gene, you would do some or all of the CF lung treatments, based on the severity of your...

    fevers - who gets 'em

Yes. Low fever + body aches and chills and lung pain have plagued me, and also coincided with me culturing M. gordonae. But that is an NTM no one is sure causes infections. I definitely felt weird for complaining of such misery to docs while running a 99.3 "fever."

Everytime I stand for a long time I get chronic aches in the bad lung..

This doesn't happen to me. But I do have a worse lung, like you. Is this a new thing for you? If so, maybe you need more mucus clearance and antibiotics. When I was sicker my lower left lobe seemed to ache all the time, even when the mucus was clear. Right now, I don't feel that rattle in...
