Each bacteria has a different color. Brown is normally really old stuff.

My sputum is almost always yellowish green. When I go on antibitics it will be white for a week or two and then it goes right back. When I feel good still have the color to my sputum. I just don't produce as much. Is any one else like this? I can remeber a time that I didn't have color to...

I live in Maine so I know how you feel. I was told those who live in colder climates get more colds because we are locked indoors with all the germs. I never am in the hospital in the winter it is always late spring or early summer...go figure. But my lungs are very sensitive to the cold weather.

I get it from a company call Foundation Care out of Missouri.

I buy it premixed but it is expensive...I pay $75 for a month supply. My insurance doesn't cover it yet.

If it is a myth then why do I get flemmy when I drink milk or eat ice cream?

ADEK are the fat soluble vitamins, that is why we need them...we don't natually breaf down the fat so we don't absorb the vitamins. I have taken both ADEK and vitamax...vitamax tastes a little better. Thay are both chewable. Sometimes I also take a multi-vitamin by GNC.

The Pulmozyme thins the mucus and the hypertonic saline creates a water barrier between the lungs and the mucus so it moves easily. They both serve different functions. I always do the pulmozyme first, then the hypertonic saline and the my vest. It seems to work pretty well.

I am very religous on doing all my meds and vest day and night. I travel 35 minutes to and from work. So I am on a very tight schedule. I wake up about 6 am. I do my pulmozyme, hypertonic saline and the 20 minutes on the vest. I get showered and dress and out the door by 7:45. No time for...
