Kenzie got her port about 1 yr ago when she was 13. It has made IV treatments so much easier. We don't even go to the hospital. Nurses come to our house and access it and we do the meds at home. The monthly flushes have become easier and she doesn't even require the MLA cream to numb it...

Thank you for your replies. I had been on other forums where people had taken the oral and the inhaled for sometime and thought it to be very beneficial, but hadn't seen anyone here mention it before. I was thinking about giving it a try, thank you for the input.....

Thank you....I have had her come on this site a couple times, but she is at that age where she is not interested at all in her CF and more in her life with friends, which sometimes is a good thing....
