lots of financial ?'s please help!

Our son does not qualify for SSI because he's on TEFRA which is a Medicaid program in Alaska. In order to qualify for TEFRA, you have to apply and have "proof", basically all of his medical information, sent before a review board who then "certifies" that your diagnosis is a medical disability...

    Self-Responsibility

Ratatosk, I love the "bluey" med! Everything at our house is: Super Yucky White med, Kind of Yucky pink, orange puffer, blue puffer, etc, And amazingly, his team always knows exactly what he's talking about. Probably because every kid feels the same :-) In that recent US News & World Report...

ABPA - allergic reaction to aspergillus (in a nutshell!)

As it turns out, my sons IgE was only barely elevated. . . 2 steps forward, 1 step back in our quest to get rid of this lingering cough. I'm so glad to have stumbled on all of this ABPA info because now it's on my radar especially since it's more common in boys! Very interested in Sporonox...

ABPA - allergic reaction to aspergillus (in a nutshell!)

Tonya, when Andrew is having a flare up, how do you generally treat it? And do you recall the process/tests he went through to dx the ABPA?

Cystic Fibrosis and Type 1 Diabetes

Hi! This does not truly give you what you're looking for, but in the August 2010 issue of US News and World Report there is a huge spread on Cincinnati Children's and families with CF. On page 52 & 53 there is a picture of a 6 year old boy giving himself an insulin injection. The caption...

ABPA - allergic reaction to aspergillus (in a nutshell!)

I'm taking a random poll! My son is in the process of either being diagnosed with ABPA or ruling it out. At our clinic they don't begin to routinely check IgE levels until age 10 as that's when it is more common to culture aspergillus and/or "develop" ABPA. I asked for a RAST test in June to...
