Hi Bonnie,

I don't know you well, but I'm sorry to hear about you being on bedrest. I know that bedrest isn't any fun. I wish I was pregnant, though, when I was on bedrest. LOL!

You mentioned about your sinuses bothering you...Do you use anything for them? I use Sinus Rinse. It may help you keep you nose under control so you don't get any infections in there.

I feel bad about your shower being now while on bedrest. I know it's not going to be the way you dreamed it would be, but I still hope that you are able to enjoy it. This was something that you probably or maybe never thought would happen for you. This baby shower is you and your baby's moment. You probably always wanted to hold those cute baby clothes up with tears gushing from your eyes. You probably always imagined placing all those baby items all around the nursery while smiles and giggles cross your face. This baby shower is YOUR MOMENT! Maybe you'll have another, maybe not. But this is your moment! Enjoy every single second that you have. And hey, I'd like to see some pictures, if you have a chance! Take care! I wish you the best!

HI Bonnie

I was afraid it was due to real contractions but that is actually good because now if you can keep them away and do the bedrest hopefully all will be well, if it was just spontaneous in nature it would be less controllable---made a word up there

So did you ask them about your ?? (that's the vest smiley)

I had to do bedrest for a few days after IVF and my SIL had to do it for a long time like you so here are our tips:

get a laptop with wireless internet! pronto!

have everyone bring you shopping catalogues and flyers if you cant do the internet

haverr your shower with you in the middle of the room on a couch like a goddess!

get some handheld little games like sudoko or tetris or borrow a game system if you like that sort of thing

if dh doesnt cook have him stop by supper suppers or the like where they will assemble meals ready to eat that are good for you and theya re all ready in a tin to go in the oven

get a library card and have DH go for you once a week

rent seasons of shosw like sopranos CSI etc from movie place

get into something like harry potter or lord of the rings and read them all

take up knitting!

there are books and websites dedicated to bedrest so you may want to check that out for more ideas and know that this is the most important thing you will ever do for your little guy!

take care and I will be checkign in on you
