A faster more efficient nebulizer?

Have you checked the air filter on the compressor? They eventually clog up and slow things down even if everything else is working.

How about the neb cup - PariLC are what we use most of the time but they start slowing down as they age also...the 6 month limit per the manufacturer is a decent guess but sometimes the jets shrink sooner from the heat of constant sterilizing

When DS was first diagnosed, we got a pari proneb ultra. Duoneb (albuterol and atrovent) took about 25 minutes. A few months later he cultured psuedo and started Tobi and it took 45-50 minutes. Ugh. Fast forward a year or so and DH's cousin gives us an older devilbiss pulmoaid for use as a spare at Grandma's house. We were amazed when Tobi took 20-25 minutes. Duoneb -- 10-15, pulmozyme 8. So I got online and ordered a brand new devilbiss pulmoaid for daily use and kept the pari as a spare since I liked the compactness.

I have since purchased a new pari proneb ultra II and it works much better. Being new parents of a cfer we didn't realize that the original pari was faulty. Ugh!

At least your pari should still be under warranty -- think the warranty is 3-5 years. Hopefully you don't have a big hassle arranging for a new one.

i had a smaller gray proneb nebulizer machine. i hated the stupid thing. i couldn't tell you what model it was cause i left it at my mom's house as a spare. shortly after i got it it started making a funky noise. so i stopped using it. i went back to my old neb machine. i've had it since i started using nebulizers. my proneb takes forever to do a treatment and it still makes a funky noise. i'm afraid that my old one is going to kick the bucket soon though. it's like 10 years old...actually i think it's older than that. but until then i'm keeping that one. sorry to hear you are having problems with a proneb too.
