The e-flow is quite expensive, but I have heard wonderful things about it. I am not sure if it is OK'd yet in the states for use with Tobi and Pulmozyme. </end quote></div>

I just heard about this at our dr vist last week. I thought the doctor said it couldn't be used for Tobi, couldn't remember about Pulmozyme. My wife is wanting a new protable compressor and thats what got the e-flow discussion going. If it can't do Tobi and Pulmozyme I didn't think it would be worth it. I need to do some research on it.

I am seeing some confustion about what can be used in the eflow in the US.
Unless we are doing so illegally, and IV Solutions is providing it illegally, then I know that the following meds can be used in the EFlow as they are the ones we use:

Pulmozyme, Hypertonic (son uses 10% solution), Tobi, Colistin,
Aztreonam

I am also pretty sure that my friends daughter use albeterol in theirs (not for sure advise asking IV Solutions) and amikacin.

I would advise anyone who wants to learn more to call IV Solutions, they really are pros on the EFlow unit and can answer any and all questions about it.

Again, the number I have for them is: 1-800-658-6046. I believe that they even have a DVD that they can send that shows how the unit works and gives a lot of information about it.

Oh yeah, we live here in the US.

Possibly this was in reference to the fact that TOBI has to be reformulated for use in the eflow.

Patty - Thanks for all of the information, and for taking the time to clarify everything! I'm going to call IV Solutions.
