A few questions about sudden FEV1 drop

I agree with you about that, lol. I should have said that better- I've had friends who have kids with asthma, who only get a blood test from their pediatrician and are told that's all they need, while their asthma goes on poorly controlled (makes me want to pull my hair out, right next to the ped. determining that a younger child doesn't have allergies based on the older- non asthmatic- child's blood test- arrgghh). I guess you can tell I have a bit of a pet peeve when it comes to blood test only allergy testing, lol.

But, according to my allergy and asthma doctor (granted, she's just one doctor, but what she's told me seems to go along with what I've researched so far), you need the skin test, not just a blood test, to truly get a complete picture, and that the skin test can be more extensive and specific (I hope I'm remembering that right, lol).
But for starting out in determining sources of inflamation/allergies, you should not conclude that you have no allergies based on a blood test. Whew! lol .

You might want to look at things that have changed in your enviroment, too. For example, I believe someone else here had a reaction to Fabreeze?, and that was a big factor for them in being short of breath.

Oh, and I had to take the Singulair for a while before I noticed an improvement- like 3 months, at least, if I remember that right. It's late, lol. I hope it works for you too.

And I also will be having the IGE test done at least yearly, because my skin test showed a big reaction to aspergillous. Bah.

I think that's it. I'm going to bed before I keep running on and on...lol.
