I went at age 20 because I was about to get married. I needed to start on birth control and wanted to have a general exam/PAP smear before getting sexually active.

Never been there.. It's not standard to have a gyneacologist here. You go to your gp first, when you feel something is wrong and they will sent you through when they feel you need it. When I was on birthcontrol pills I got it from my gp too.</end quote></div>

WOW

So do the GP deliver babies also? In NY ours use to, but I dont know of any around me that still do. I think they leave it to the OB/GYN now. Not sure if its a law or not tho.

Went at 18 for severe practically unbearable cramps - turns out it WAS CF related caused by severe inflammation of the tissue.

FYI - found this interesting at my first annual pap since my transplant my GYN commented that the inflammation on my cervix had decreased since my previous visit - she said she wasn't sure if it was transplant related since a major source of my infections were gone or if it was just the prednisone and such that I have been taking - but that there was definite improvement.

Take Care,
Lindsey

I was actually looking it up online and asking my mom last week! My mom said I didn't go until I was 17; I went to a website and they said they reccomend age 13-15.
