Alcohol leaves your system at an ounce and hour (I think thats the rate - don't quote me here) so I can't imagine if you drink Friday night it still being in your blood on Monday morning. Unless of course you drink a whole lot but then ya might be dead from alochol poisoning

I would think you would be fine. Just don't go getting all hammered Sunday night

I wouldn't drink the night before, but I would be prepared for them to ask you if you drink. I know every doc I saw for my workup asked if I drank at all or often or how much. It is not an absolute NO post transplant BUT the meds you are on at first are hard on the liver and kidneys and such and the alcohol drinking may need to be put on hold for a while afterwards. Just something I have had to deal with post transplant. I was never a big drinker anyway - I would have a few drinks on my birthday and a few on New Year's Eve and that was it.

Good Luck with the evaluation.

Take Care,
Lindsey
